ESPN-Tennessee quarterback Tyler Bray will miss a minimum of four weeks after suffering a fractured right thumb against Georgia on Saturday.
A statement released by the school Sunday said Bray's estimated recovery time is six weeks.
Head coach Derek Dooley hinted after the game that Bray may have suffered a fracture to his right hand after speaking with him following the Vols' 20-12 loss to the Bulldogs. Matt Simms, who started eight games last season, backed up Bray in the second half.
In relief of Bray, Simms completed four of six passes for 39 yards.
