GEORGIA
Isaiah Crowell, RB: He arrives in Athens with a ton of hype. Georgia has yet to find its feature back and Crowell has all the talent to be that player. Some think he could start by the midpoint of the season. He was the nation’s top running back and in 2010 he rushed for 1,721 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Malcolm Mitchell, WR: Mitchell played both sides of the ball in high school, but Georgia’s staff really likes what he could do at receiver. He’s a tremendous athlete and will get a chance to earn playing time for the fall, especially with some unproven receivers already on Georgia’s roster.
SOUTH CAROLINA
Jadeveon Clowney, DE: Clowney will enter preseason camp with a mound of expectations. He was the country’s top high school player last year, and even though there is a lot of talent on South Carolina’s defensive line, it will be hard to keep him off the field with his freakish ability. He recorded 162 tackles, including 29 tackles for loss, 29.5 sacks, 11 forced fumbles, six recovered fumbles and scored five touchdowns last fall.
SEC SPORTS.COM--South Carolina scored three times in the top of the first and never looked back as they handed top-ranked Virginia a 7-1 setback Tuesday night in a winner's bracket game at the 2011 College World Series.
Our sources indicate that Victor Hampton has been reinstated to the South Carolina football team. Hampton was dismissed from the team last week for violating team rules.
Hampton will be the back up to cornerback Stephon Gilmore. All the information available at this time.

WLTX-TV--Victor Hampton was a highly recruited player in the class of 2010, and was selected to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. He initially committed to Florida, but switched to South Carolina before National Signing Day.
It is believed that he had academic issues.
CBS- Voluntary summer workouts start this week and Stephen Garcia is playing for now.
If eligible, Garcia is the SEC's returning leader in yards passing with 3,059 in 2010. He completed more than 64 percent of his passes with 20 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
Garcia was instrumental in last season's Eastern Division title and may have had his best game in a 35-21 upset of then-No. 1 Alabama, South Carolina's first victory over a top-ranked team.

SEC SPORTS REPORT-
GAME NOTES:
SC Running Back Marcus Lattimore was the star of the game running for 182 yds on 37 carries. Georgia knew Lattimore was going to get the ball but could not stop him.
South Carolina scored on the opening drive with a touch down. Georgia answered with a field goal. South Carolina had the edge on both the offensive line and defensive line for the first time in a decade. Every time running back Washaun Ealey touched the ball he had three guys tackling him starting at the line of scrimmage.
Junior QB Stephen Garcia was 12/17 passing for 165 yds. Freshman QB Aaron Murray was 14/21 passing for 192 yds.
Georgia needed a couple more big plays to make it close. SC seemed to be in better physical condition in the 4th quarter under a humid, hot day in Columbia.
