CBS SPORTS- Arkansas freshman Marquel Wade apologized Monday for hitting Vanderbilt punt returner Jonathan Krause early, a crushing tackle that led to Wade's ejection Saturday.
Wade has not been suspended for the hit, which occurred during the third quarter of the No. 8 Razorbacks 31-28 win over the Commodores. The wide receiver, playing on special teams, said he thought Krause had the ball when he ran through the returner.
"I was just going out there doing 100 percent, trying to play my game and I messed up," Wade said. "I take all the [responsibility] for everything I did."
Through the end of July, here are the verbal commits for 2012:
1) LSU Tigers 18
2) Alabama Crimson Tide 14
3) Miss State Bulldogs 14
4) Auburn Tigers 13
5) Arkansas Razorbacks 12
6) Ole Miss Rebels 8

ALABAMA
Ha’Sean Clinton-Dix, S: Alabama boasts one of the best safety tandems in the league in Mark Barron and Robert Lester, but the 6-foot-1, 203-pound Clinton-Dix has the size and skill set to come in and make the Crimson Tide even stronger on the back end of their defense.
Cyrus Kouandjio, OT: One of the top offensive tackle prospects in the country last year, Kouandjio could provide some immediate depth. The Tide were already looking at moving All-SEC guard Barrett Jones to left tackle.
LSU
Jarvis Landry, WR: If the Tigers are going to make a run at a national championship in 2011, they’re going to need a lot more production from their passing game than they got a year ago. Landry is dynamic in the open field and should complement Rueben Randle and Russell Shepard nicely.
ARKANSAS NEWS- It’s no secret Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino pays attention to detail and expects players to do so as well. So it’s no surprise the ideology was extended to a dinner set up through the program’s student-athlete development staff.
The goal, according to assistant athletic director Eric Wood, was making sure players are prepared off the field as much as they are on it under Petrino...
PRESS REGISTER- Under defensive coordinator Willy Robinson, the Razorbacks have increased their sacks and tackles for loss in each successive season since the new staff's first in Fayetteville in 2008 while decreasing their points given up annually.
The most noticeable improvement for the Arkansas defense has come on third down. In 2008, the Razorbacks' opponents converted 41.6 percent of their third-down plays, the worst rate of any SEC defense. Last season, Arkansas held its opponents to a 33.5 percent conversion rate, the best in the SEC.
ARKANSAS NEWS-- How will Arkansas go 10-2?
The educated guess begins with Arkansas’ returning players, particularly at the skill positions, a favorable schedule, and a well-founded faith that Bobby Petrino will develop a quarterback.
Greg Childs, Knile Davis, Joe Adams, Cobi Hamilton, Dennis Johnson, and Jarius Wright are known commodities...
ARKANSAS SPORTS 360- Arkansas’ youth event is one of three upcoming camps hosted by Petrino and his staff.
